When I don't have to file a tax return

28. 04. 2026 • 4 min • Autor: tým jednoduchepriznani.cz

Generally speaking, those who earned up to CZK 50,000 in employment do not have to file a tax return .

For entrepreneurs, the limit is CZK 50 000, but they must not end up in a loss. This limit applies even if we are employed.

  • For self-employed people, however, it is still true that they must file reports for the CSSA and the health insurance company.

There is also a limit of CZK 20,000 for rental income, capital assets or other income.

If you have signed a "pink form " at work and your employer has withheld taxes, typically part-time work, earnings up to CZK 10,000 per month / CZK 120,000 per year you do not have to declare this income and therefore do not have to file a tax return. However, try filling in the guide to see if you are overpaying tax.

If you had a scholarship, unemployment benefit, maternity benefit, sickness benefit or social benefits you do not have to declare this income. If you only had this income, you are not required to file a return.

If you have one employer, they often file your tax return for you. If you have other income, such as from an HOA, another friend's job or a business, the filing remains your responsibility. With our app, you can certainly handle it.
